Doghouse Engines
About us

I'm Phil Rogers, Owner & President of Doghouse Engines. You might also know my other company Doghouse Repair.

12 years ago I started Doghouse Repair with the intention of just working on engines. I wanted to build better engines than what was available locally. Part of building a better engine requires attention to detail, focus & vision. The desire was there but the local volume was not. Other work & parts sales soon started taking over my time to fill my customers needs.

Our customer base expanded beyond our cities borders when we decided to build a Store On Wheels and travel to the customers at Dumont Dunes. Then it expanded again when we launched DoghouseRepair.com
As a result I was able to start building the engines I always wanted to.
Countless engines later, we've taken the next big step.

Doghouse Engines went online December 27, 2006 as a business dedicated to engine building.

If you want to feel the ground shake when your engine roars to life or if you're happy just getting good gas mileage in your daily driver, buy your next brand new engine from me.

Buy with confidence. I am not one of those businesses you see on E-bay that's too cheap to have their own website and may not deliver.

Bolt on your dreams,
Phil

Congratulations to Garey Leavitt and his Class 11 race car for taking the first place win in the KC Highlights Midnight Special race Saturday July 30th. Garey came into first place over 1 1/2 hours ahead of the 2nd place car. Garey runs a true 1600cc engine I built.

Congratulations to Garey Leavitt and his Class 11 race car for placing 2nd (20 minutes behind 1st due to a loose wire) in the South Point Snore 250 on September 29th. Garey says 'next race that wire won't come loose'.
