Description:
This is based on a used, late oem vw block that has been machined to accept Chevy hydraulic lifters and is full flowed.
We'll only build hydraulic lifter'd blocks from your engine that already had them in it.
A machine in sand seal is in the nose of the block. This engine will require a standard shaft sand sealed pulley be run on it.
The block is only 20 over with a standard thrust. The crank is only 10 over on the mains and rods.
The crank has been ground, polished, balanced and 8 doweled.
The rods have been resized, rebushed, end to end bal'd & mate bal'd w/ new nuts added.
A WebCam hydraulic cam w/ 374L (w/ 1.1:1 rockers) x 264D spins in double thrust bearings. Cam gears are helical.
A Gene Berg modified 30mm geared Schadek oil pump has a GB full flow face & 1/2" barb.
The flywheel is a Performance Products steel, lightened 8 dowel, held on by a Scat chromoly gland nut kit.
Stock dual port 8mm head studs & case savers.
This is a dual relief case with the pulley end plunger being a grooved model, while the flywheel end is a stock model. Both are using new stock springs.
A used drain plate, oil screen and magnetic drain plug close up the bottom.
To go long block we added:
used, cleaned & painted oem cylinder cool tins.
Beautiful, perfect, used stock heads w/ single hi rev springs.
New Mahle 94 pistons, cylinders, wrist pins, clips & rings.
New stock pushrod tubes & seals hold chromoly cut to fit push rods. The rocker assemblies involve mate balanced rockers on polished, stock shafts.
New stock v-adjust screws with our hd nuts ride on Empi lash caps.
The compression ratio is 8.11:1 so you can run low grade fuel or better, if desired.
Empi chrome stock style valve covers & bales.
