This started with a new pentroof block that is cast solid behind #3, full flow ready, shuffle pinned on the center mains, has 8mm case savers and is clear coated for shine.
The heart of this is an 82 stroke forged counterweighted crank that we sent out for grind, polish, flywheel facing, 11/32" dowel drilling, drilled for PISTON SQUIRTERS and then balanced.
A Scat Hardcore C-55 cam rides in single thrust bearings and spins Empi billet straight cut steel gears.
Empi drilled lobe lifters will keep the lobes wet.
New pinion gear, pinion washers, dist tension spring, dist drive gear, gear clip & oil slinger.
Empi HD oil pump will push the oil thru a Doghouse enlarged galley (immediatley out of the pump).
Cam has 310 duration for a 4500 to 7000 rpm power band.
Cam lift is 513.
New grooved plunger at the pulley end & stock plunger at the flywheel end. New stock springs at both.
New oil screen, chrome drain plate & magnetic drain plug.
Scat stock length 4340 I beam rods with 3/8" ARP bolts spin on 10 over rod bearings.
Scat chromoly lightened 8 doweled flywheel and Scat chromoly gland nut kit.
To go long block I added new Mahle jugs and mate balanced the pistons.
Tru-Arc wrist pin clips hold the pistons on.
Grant top & bottom rings and Total Seal Gapless 2nd rings.
Performance Products supplied Outlaw 044 heads feature dual springs, chromoly retainers, heavy duty keepers, 40 x 35.5 valves & 3/4" long plug bores and these had a .040 deck step.
Compression Ratio is 10.79:1 so premium grade or race grade fuel will be needed. You can add copper racing head gaskets to bring the CR down if you want.
Empi Stainless Steel windage pushrod tubes are sealed with Empi high temp silicone seals.
Scat Pro-Comp Race 1.25:1 chromoly rockers are pushed by Scat chromoly 3/8" Manton cut to fit pushrods.
Scat lash caps keep the rockers from galling on the valve stems.
Scat chromoly rocker arm studs hold it all to the head.
Empi aluminum finned clip on valve covers seal it up.
