It starts with a brand new oem vw block, not an aluminum style. Sports 8mm head stud case savers. A new 69mm stock crank holds rebuilt, resized, end to end balanced & mate balanced rods with new nuts. New main bearings, rod bearings & cam bearings. A Norris* 336 cam (336L x 290D) will push Empi drilled lobe lifters for maximum lubrication. A USA made aluminum helical cut cam gear will ride against a steel crank gear. A bypass filtered oil pump by Performance Products (flowed by Doghouse) will push the oil with big HD gears. A new stock weight flywheel will provide torque. It's held on by a new German gland nut & Empi big washer. New washers & nylock nuts everywhere. New oil screen and chrome drain plate w/ magnetic oil drain plug. *A stock cam is 338L x 260D for reference. The Norris cam will give you more distance in each gear. The next cam will most likely be a Scat.
