Description:
We built this from a brand new dual relief universal vw block with 8mm case savers.
If you live in an area with a lot of hills, you should buy this. The torque of the cam, added to the weight of the flywheel, will make this baby pull.
85.5 jugs = 1600cc, or 87 jugs = 1641cc or 88 jugs = 1678cc.
Block was painted with 500 degree ceramic embedded Chevy Orange-Red. Double thrust Mahle cam bearings hold an Engle VZ-15 super torque (478L x 279D) cam* which pushes OEM lifters. The flat cam gear is a bolt on U.S.A. made helical gear. A HD (flowed by us) bypass filtered (32mm gears) pump pushes the oil.
The crank is a new stock 69 stroke. German main bearings. German rod bearings ride in balanced & rebushed/ resized rods with new nuts, of course.
A chrome oil drain plate is installed with a magnetic drain plug & new screen. A stock weight 12V flywheel has been surfaced & balanced. A silicone fly seal is our choice. CB chromoly gland nut & large washer holds it all together. Nylock nuts and plated washers finish it.
