| Description: | We called this a "short block plus" since it had head studs in it already. We'll only build hydraulic blocks from YOUR engine that already had hydraulic lifters. This is based on a used late oem vw block that had been machined to accept Chevy hydraulic lifters and is full flowed. A sand seal is in the nose of the block (block was machined). This engine will require a standard shaft sand sealed pulley be used on it. The block is 20 over with a standard thrust and the crank is 10 over. The crank has been ground, polished, balanced and 8 doweled. The rods have been resized, rebushed, end to end bal'd & mate bal'd w/ new nuts added. A WebCam hydraulic cam w/ 374L (w/ 1.1:1 rockers) x 264D spins in double thrust bearings. Cam gears are helical. A Gene Berg modified 30mm geared Schadek oil pump has a GB full flow face & 1/2" barb. The flywheel is a Perf Prod steel, lightened 8 dowel, held on by a Scat chromoly nut kit. Stock 8mm head studs (for dual port) w/ case savers are already installed. This is a dual relief case with the pulley end plunger being a grooved model, while the flywheel end is a stock model. Both are using new stock springs.
