Sold, but we can duplicate this for you. This long block starts with a brand new oem vw block with 8mm head stud case savers. The 3 bolt pattern for bus bearer bars is partially hidden by the oil pump. A new 69mm stock crank holds new rod assemblies. New main bearings, rod bearings & cam bearings. A Engle 120 cam rubs against Empi drilled lobe lifters for maximum lubrication. An aluminum helical cut cam gear. A bypass filtered oil pump by Performance Products (flowed by Doghouse) will push the oil with 32mm gears. A new stock weight flywheel will provide torque. It's held on by a new German gland nut & Empi big washer. New washers & nylock nuts everywhere. New oil screen and chrome drain plate w/ magnetic oil drain plug. *A stock cam is 338L x 260D for reference. The Engle cam will give you more distance in each gear.
To go long block we add an 87mm Mahle piston/ cylinder kit with Grant top & bottom rings. Total Seal Gapless 2nd rings. Beneath the cylinders are stock air deflector plates & stock push rod tubes. On top, we add Autolinea stock (short reach plug bores) dual port heads held on by a stock Brazilian head stud kit. Single hi rev springs with aluminum retainers. 7.46:1 compression ratio. Empi stock style pushrods. New rocker shaft assemblies. Empi swivel feet & our hd nuts handle the valves. New stock black valve covers & chrome bales close it up. |
