Description:
This short block is based on a new raised roof style aluminum, shuffle pinned block. Cast solid behind #3 cyl and has 8mm case savers. Already full flow tapped & plugged.
It has double thrust cam bearings holding an Engle 125 cam with a Performance Products, USA made aluminum helical cut gear. Any other reasonable cam can be used if you prefer.
New oem lifters. An Empi hi volume oil pump will push the fluids. An 84 stroke Forged, Nitrided, Counterweighted crank with 8 long dowels spins stock vw rods that have been rebushed, resized, end to end & mate balanced.
A stock spacer sits between perfect used crank gears*. On the back is a stock perfect used 12V 200mm flywheel* and a stock gland nut with a big Empi washer.
A perfect used oil screen* and drain plug style drain plate*.
A new hardware kit, new plungers & springs.
New silicone flywheel seal.
A perfect used* distributor drive pinion gear & washers.
