Capable of just over 6,000 rpm as shown.
The AJ block (painted ceramic embedded Grabber Green 500 degree heat paint) was inspected & align bored to 60 over. The galley plugs removed, oil gallies cleaned, tapped & plugged (or you can unplug one for full flow).
The block was opened for 92's. The cyl decks were clean cut. We used double thrust Mahle cam bearings to hold the Eagle* cam (425L x 274D) which turns by a helical cut gear.
Oem reground & weight mated (84/85 grams each) lifters ride just above a windage tray. A std std 69 stroke crank was polished & balanced & bolts up to a 4 dowel stock flywheel that has been surfaced, cleaned & balanced. A German gland nut & an Empi large washer held them together.
A Performance Products bypass filtered oil pump (modified by us for better flow & camshaft engagement) pushes the oil around thru an HP1 filter wrapped in a cool collar.
Long drain plate studs are installed in anticipation of adding a deep sump.
A magnetic drain plug sits on a used chrome drain plate, beneath a new oil screen. Oem rods (resized, end to end & mate balanced, new bushings & new nuts added) ride on Mahle bearings. Silicone flywheel seal, grooved metal cam plug.
Teflon buttons in Mahle 92 pistons slide on Grant & Total Seal Gapless 2nd rings. Cylinder shims & copper racing head gaskets keep the compression to 7.4:1 for regular to race gas or turbo ready. Scat chromoly 145,000 psi head stud kit.
Empi** 40 x 35.5 valve heads with dual springs & chromoly retainers hold long reach Bosch Platinum plugs.
Scat chromoly 3/8" p-rods are "cut to fit" the stock ratio rockers that hold swivel feet by HD nuts.
Solid rocker shafts handle the load. Stock, painted p-rod tubes sit beneath cool tins. Aluminum bolt on style finned v-covers with twin vents*** get rid of heat. Stock, painted dipstick.
Oil cooler adapter w/ 1/2" barbs lets oil to a cooler (not included).
More new things included are: stock oil pressure switch, Bosch 51 amp alternator, stainless alt strap, chrome nut & spacer on the chrome pulley.
Aluminum oil filler sits on a painted alt stand.
Also new: power pulley & 10x850 belt, woodruf keys, hardware, fan, chrome cylinder & alternator backing tin, chrome 36hp style shroud without fresh air ducts.
Chrome 009 distributor, chrome dist clamp, stainless steel braided**** 8mm plug wires. A single 44 carb (6" velocity stacks shown, but not included) sits on an aluminum intake with stock end pieces and urethane manifold boots with stainless hose clamps.
Fire is by a Compu-Fire 35,000 volt epoxy filled coil mounted on the backside of the shroud.

An AJ block was originally cast with no provision for a fuel pump. No pump or pump block off is included in a replica of this engine.
*This cam would be replaced with Scat cam of your choice.
