Description:
This long block starts with a new aluminum Empi prepared stroker ready block, new hardware kit and plungers.
Single thrust cam bearings hold an Engle 100 cam beside Empi drilled lobe 28mm lifters.
Performance Products cast steel straight cut cam gear turns by a new straight crank gear. Performance Products bypass filtered oil pump (flowed & modified by us) pushes the oil. An Empi deep oil sump is on the bottom.
A forged chromoly counterweighted 69mm 8 dowel crank turns the rebushed, resized & balanced vw rods on new bearings.
Comes with a new oil pressure switch and an Empi windage tray.
Stock, painted cool tins sit beneath Mahle 90.5 jugs. Teflon buttons and Total Seal gapless 2nd rings adorn the pistons. A set of copper racing head spacers bring the compression down to 7.35:1 for pump gas.
A stock 8 doweled flywheel with an Empi big washer are held on with a German gland nut. Scat 8mm 145,000 psi chromoly head stud kit holds on new heads with single high rev springs, chromoly retainers, 40mm intakes, 35mm exhausts and long 3/4" plug bores.
Stock, painted pushrod tubes and Empi bolt together floating center rocker shafts. Stock rockers with Empi swivel feet and HD nuts are pushed by Scat aluminum cut to fit 3/8" pushrods. Stock painted valve covers & Empi chrome bales finish it.
This engine was built for a customers specific need and is shown (not priced with) with his oil cooler set up, an alternator style fuel pump and a new 009 distributor and chrome clamp, with an Accu-Fire drop in module installed and the customers used oil drain plate & screen.
