Description:
This long block starts with a new block, new hardware kit and plungers.
Double thrust cam bearings hold a Scat cam* above OEM lifters. Aluminum helical cam gear turns by a new crank gear. Performance Products bypass filtered oil pump (flowed & modified by us) pushes the oil. Empi nylock nut set holds the block together and deep sump studs are already installed.

A new, balanced, 69mm stock crank turns the rebushed, resized & balanced vw rods on new bearings. Comes with a new oil pressure switch and a windage tray inside the block. Empi cool tins sit under Mahle 90.5 jugs with balanced pistons and cyl shims to bring the compression down to 7.5:1 for pump gas.
Empi lightened & balanced 8 dowel flywheel and an Empi big washer are held on with a German gland nut. Heads with single high rev springs, 40mm intakes, 35mm exhausts and long 3/4" plug bores. Stock pushrod tubes and Empi bolt together floating center rocker shafts. Stock rockers with swivel feet and hd nuts push stock vw cleaned and polished pushrods. Stock dual port 8mm head stud kit. Empi chrome valve covers & bales and chrome cylinder tins.
This engine was built for a customers specific need and INCLUDED an oil cooler outlet with barbs on top and a drag race only oil filler on top next to an alternator style fuel pump and a new 009 distributor (with chrome clamp) with a Compu-Fire drop in module installed.
